75 Years of Aviation Experience

Our production facility is located in Kunovice – the Mecca of the Czech aviation. It all begun in 1934 where a group of aviation enthusiasts opened a little workshop and started to build gliders. Later in 1936 Czech famous aviation company AVIA opened in Kunovice its factory which was later confiscated by Luftwaffe.

During the WWII the company served as a repair and maintenance facility for Junkers and Arado aircrafts. After the war the company worked on almost all types of airplanes that were flying in Czechoslovakia. During 50´s and 60´s the factory manufactured famous L-200 Morava, Z-37 Bumble Bee and light military training jet L-29.

After the velvet revolution, Aircraft Industries, manufacturer of legendary L-410 and L-13 Blanik gliders, acquired the company.

Nowadays, Czech Sport Aircraft manufactures in two factories. Primary production parts are supplied our Slovak daughter company Way Industry Inc., and final assembly completion by our in Kunovice factory, located at the international airport LKKU.

Today is our company one of the most sophisticated sport aircraft manufacturers in the World with outstanding products, own state of the art machinery and highly experienced working force. Financial back up provided by the foremost Central European financial group Slavia Capital provides the so important financial stability.

Not only aviation manufacturing made the city of Kunovice famous. Kunovice and surrounding area is an important aviation center with one of the largest aero club in the Czech Republic. Generations of pilots have been trained there, some of them served in the RAF during the WWII in the Czech fighter squadrons, later at the Eastern front in Russia. Many of Czech Sport Aircraft employees continue in the tradition and are active pilots flying various types of aircrafts however SportCruiser is by far the most preferable design.
